The Importance Of A Half Hour A Day
Beginning to work on self improvement, personal development, financial independence, or building a healthier body should not be as daunting as it sounds.
Most people don’t attempt to create a better life for themselves because of one simple fact - fear.
Fear causes us to conform to our life we live now, even if it isn’t the life we want to live. It causes us to curl up in our shell like a turtle in danger - and not pop out until it’s safe again.
Want to know the easiest solution to conquering fear? Take action!
Creating the perfect life starts with one step in the right direction. My theory is that if you can put in a half hour each and every day, you are destined to eventually life the life you dream of. Of course there will be days when the half hour just isn’t possible, but you need to stay as consistent as possible.
Think about this - putting in a half hour each and everyday towards your goal will add up to:
- 3.5 hours every week
- 14 hours every month
- 168 hours every year
In 5 years that adds up to 840 hours of pure, concentrated self improvement. How much do you think your life would change if you could spend that much time developing your health, financial status, spiritual well-being, or whatever else you’re looking to improve?
If you make just a half hour everyday to improve your life, you will be amazed at how fast it changes. 3.5 hours a week might not seem like a lot, but thanks to a force known as compounding, your progress will grow in leaps and bounds.
Let me give you an example. The first thing I did to start my road to financial independence was my website, www.crazyfortea.com. That took a few months to get going and at the time I had no other projects. After awhile I started to receive a decent income from it every single month. I still receive that income, and spend probably less than 3 hours a week working on the website.
I take money from that website to start and grow other projects, such as this blog. Down the road as I continue to add articles and gain readers (you can sign up at the top of this page) I will monetize it, for both my and my readers benefit. This will become a second income stream.
Since this is a low-cost project to do, I still have most of my money from my other website that I can do whatever I want with it, so I use it to invest. I’m actually in the beginning stages of a new investment that should prove to give me handsome returns without using any of my own time. Talk about a great investment opportunity!
However, I’m going to test it for awhile before I mention what it is. I want to make sure it’s something I can recommend to my readers.
Imagine what will happen when I have the velocity of all 3 streams of income - this blog, www.crazyfortea.com, and my new investment. I will be receiving monthly income which I can then use to make even more income streams, such as real estate. I’m also going to use the extra money to invest in myself. I love to buy books, audio CD’s, and programs that will enhance my life in some way. Investing in yourself is one of the best investments you can do.
That is the power of compounding. In the beginning you use a lot of your time and see little returns, but the more you stick with it, the less time you spend and the more returns you see.
Do you see now why I urge you to spend just a half hour of your time each and every day towards achieving one of your goals? Although I use finances as an example, you can turn the situations around to fit your personal goals because compounding works with everything.
If you have more than a half hour a day that’s great, but you should set a minimum goal of 30 minutes per day to spend achieving your goal. You’ll be amazed at how fast you can improve your life.
Your perfect life awaits,
Jeremy

Definitely some good advice here… when you move towards monetizing this blog, be sure to check out PayPerPost (www.payperpost.com) as they are the easiest way I’ve found to generate quick income from your blog.

Will do Taylor, I’ll go check out the website now.
The reason I’m not monetizing yet is because I’m going to start submitting it to directories soon and I’ve heard they aren’t a fan of monetizing unless the site is at least a few months old. Plus I want to wait until I have a good subscription base and a good number of daily visitors before I monetize.

Well said Jeremy, nice read!
In my opinion, tea is starting to make a nice trend for itself, and is a great alternative compared to coffee and soft drinks. A nice way to help change your well being.
Let’s look at 5 or 6 years ago when brands like Snapple and Lipton didn’t even offer white and green teas let alone advertise the benefits. Now they are promoting the latest herbal addition Rooibos, also known as “red tea”.
I guess what I’m saying is that tea is becoming more popular in America more and more each year. While brewing hot loose leaf tea is still nearly invisble to over 90 percent of our American way of life, I’m hoping that with the aid of my site along with the knowledge that the above companies are introducing to folks with the chilled versions, that it too starts to become part of our culture.
Loose leaf tea rocks! It’s a whole new beverage folks!
