Just Bought Another Website!

Yay me!

After realizing that my tea website is seasonal and will get most of its traffic during the colder months of the year, I started making jokes that I needed to build another website that would get more traffic in the spring and summer.

Well, this got me to thinking that I really DID need to start a website. I remember how much fun I had making my crazyfortea.com website, and I’ve always wanted to make one about some type of health theme.

So I was going for a walk around Lake Scranton (close to where I live in PA) and was giving it a good thought. I realized that I don’t do the normal types of exercises that people do, and that I get bored very easily - therefore my workouts must be very fun to do.

As I explained to her all this, I thought nothing of it. We carried on our conversation and a few minutes later a light bulb went off. I should make a website about how to make fitness a fun thing!

So, I decided to purchase another website using Site Build It! of course.

This website is going to be about how you can turn a boring workout routine into something you actually enjoy. I know you can do this because I’ve done it and love my workouts now - they’re much more enjoyable than they used to be.

I’ll also include dozens of pages on how to improve certain skills such as reflexes (in fun ways), balance, eating properly, and all types of other stuff that will make your health improve dramatically with you still being able to love doing it.

The url for my website (which I just created about 5 minutes ago) is www.fitness-made-fun.com. Catchy domain name isn’t it? I like it :)

Anyway, I’ll be spending most of my free time in the last month of my summer building up that website. I plan on having at least 20-25 pages built by the end of the month so I have a lot of work to do. I’ll include some RSS feeds on that site so you can follow along if you’d like.

PS - It’s also going to be another income stream for me. I’ll probably start to monetize it around November, depending on how much free time I have available to work on it. I have a lot more potential with this website than I do with my crazy for tea website so I’m excited about that. If you’re interested in making some extra money, please visit this link - Site Build It!

PPS - I’m probably going to blog some time this week about a new method I’ve been experimenting with that I learned from Joe Vitale. I’m actually reading 1 of his books at the moment too - it’s called “The Attractor Factor”. Anyway, I’ve been trying it for about a week now and have noticed some major improvements in my feelings towards other people - so I’ll probably write a post about it this week.

Bad News

First of all I apologize for what I’m about to say.

I’ve decided to stop writing in this blog - for now. I’m going to keep the website up just so people can either re-read or keep finding it, but I won’t be posting very often (maybe once every few weeks if something happens that I want to share).

However you can still keep me on your RSS readers if you’d like.

Here are my reasons:

1) This is by far the least passive thing that I’m doing at the moment. If I wanted to get it to the point where I’d be making a few hundred dollars per month, I would need to write 3 times per week or so at least. That doesn’t include time trying to think of ideas for posts or doing research either.

2) What I didn’t think about when starting this blog is that I really never wanted to become “known”. I wanted this to be a passive source of income, but with blogging its either one or the other. You either make or don’t make money, and the only way you can make money is by posting - unlike a website. If I wrote out all my ideas and put a lot of time into this I’m sure I could have many more readers, but I don’t want to feel like it’s necessary for me to put the time in to post.

In the future when I’m already financially free, out of school and have my life more steady (not to mention more experience and wisdom) I’m sure I’ll start another blog on the same subject. Probably the same website actually.

So again, this is the last time I’ll be posting. I’ll probably post only when I hit certain targets of mine (financial freedom, the $1000/month mark, etc.) or if I get really bored.

If you really enjoyed the content that I’ve been providing you, I apologize again.

However, if you’d like to stay current on how I’m doing, new things I’m doing, or would like to still stay in contact with me regularly, I ask that you either go to my contact page on the right side of the page, or leave a comment. I’ll save your e-mail address and give you updates on what I’m reading, new ventures I’m doing, help you with any questions, etc.

Here is a contact me form right below, just so it’s easier for you.

Thanks for reading!

Progress In June And Goals For July

June was a bit tricky for me. Summer is a very slow time for Internet marketers so my main income source (Google Adsense) did very poorly as compared to May. However, I added an income stream which is turning out to be great. I also went on vacation so the health part was a bit screwy as well.

Health

Well I can’t say too much on this because the last week of June I spent on vacation and couldn’t work out like I usually do, but I will mention that before I left - I definitely made some progress from the end of May.

Wealth

Expenses - My total expenses for the month of June were $578. I’m pretty much at my base expenses right now, which means that my expenses are at the lowest amount possible.

My passive income has lowered for the first time since November, but there’s still good news which I’ll say at the end. In May I made a total of $470.70. Here is a layout of what I’ve made in June.

Google Adsense - $166.88

Clickbank - $33.87

Commission Junction - $54.22

Vitacost - $0

Amazon - $1.63

SBI Affiliate - $175

Total - $431.60

A decrease of $39.10

In mid-June I added a page to www.crazyfortea.com that talks about how I found and started SBI! and how amazing it is. I’ve already made 2 sales (because SBI! is the most amazing website builder on the Internet) which brought me in an extra $175!

Click on the link below to check it out -

http://www.crazyfortea.com/tea-website-building.html

I came out to be 74.6% financially free, as compared to 66.9% last month. Quite an improvement!

All I need is another $146.40 to become financially independent. However, I believe that’s possible this month. Assuming the traffic on my website stays low, I’ll still make more this month than last - here’s why.

  1. I started the SBI affiliate page, which is turning out to bring in even more money than Google Adsense.
  2. I’ve already purchased 6 candy vending machines and I’m in the process of getting a sponsorship from a charity. Once I have them, I’ll start placing machines - and another income stream.
  3. I’m also going to learn how to make graphics, which I’ll use to make various t-shirts, mugs, and other similar accessories to sell online. Although I’m not going to put much time or energy into this, it might turn out to give me a few bucks a month.
  4. This month I’m also going to start campaigns using Google Adwords, which will be yet another income stream.

After I set up these other income streams, I won’t add anymore for the rest of the summer or probably the rest of the year. The rest of the year will be devoted to building up all my income streams so they’re as 100% complete and as passive as possible

Happiness

I’m actually going to stop writing about my happiness for each month because it’s way too hard to measure. Just assume from now on that it’s getting better each month :).

July Goals

  1. I will have 6 candy vending machines placed.
  2. I will have made $600 in passive income.
  3. I can do 9 pull ups with a 40 pound weighted vest.
  4. My waist will be 31″ (in the fattest spot)
  5. I will have finished reading “Paint Shop Pro” (To do graphics)
  6. I will write and submit 3 articles to directories.
  7. I will have 92 pages on the Crazy For Tea website.

In case you’re wondering, I didn’t come close to achieving my goals for last month. I like to shoot high on my goals because it motivates me to work harder and I know I can handle it well if I don’t achieve them. This month I toned them down a bit though.

However, one goal that I accomplished that I’m very proud of is that I sprinted 3 sets of bleachers without stopping. That’s a total of 1,296 bleachers with no break whatsoever.
