The Importance Of A Half Hour A Day

Beginning to work on self improvement, personal development, financial independence, or building a healthier body should not be as daunting as it sounds.

Most people don’t attempt to create a better life for themselves because of one simple fact – fear.

Fear causes us to conform to our life we live now, even if it isn’t the life we want to live. It causes us to curl up in our shell like a turtle in danger – and not pop out until it’s safe again.

Want to know the easiest solution to conquering fear? Take action!

Creating the perfect life starts with one step in the right direction. My theory is that if you can put in a half hour each and every day, you are destined to eventually life the life you dream of. Of course there will be days when the half hour just isn’t possible, but you need to stay as consistent as possible.

Think about this – putting in a half hour each and everyday towards your goal will add up to:

  • 3.5 hours every week
  • 14 hours every month
  • 168 hours every year

In 5 years that adds up to 840 hours of pure, concentrated self improvement. How much do you think your life would change if you could spend that much time developing your health, financial status, spiritual well-being, or whatever else you’re looking to improve?

If you make just a half hour everyday to improve your life, you will be amazed at how fast it changes. 3.5 hours a week might not seem like a lot, but thanks to a force known as compounding, your progress will grow in leaps and bounds.

Let me give you an example. The first thing I did to start my road to financial independence was my website, www.crazyfortea.com. That took a few months to get going and at the time I had no other projects. After awhile I started to receive a decent income from it every single month. I still receive that income, and spend probably less than 3 hours a week working on the website.

I take money from that website to start and grow other projects, such as this blog. Down the road as I continue to add articles and gain readers (you can sign up at the top of this page) I will monetize it, for both my and my readers benefit. This will become a second income stream.

Since this is a low-cost project to do, I still have most of my money from my other website that I can do whatever I want with it, so I use it to invest. I’m actually in the beginning stages of a new investment that should prove to give me handsome returns without using any of my own time. Talk about a great investment opportunity!

However, I’m going to test it for awhile before I mention what it is. I want to make sure it’s something I can recommend to my readers.

Imagine what will happen when I have the velocity of all 3 streams of income – this blog, www.crazyfortea.com, and my new investment. I will be receiving monthly income which I can then use to make even more income streams, such as real estate. I’m also going to use the extra money to invest in myself. I love to buy books, audio CD’s,  and programs that will enhance my life in some way. Investing in yourself is one of the best investments you can do.

That is the power of compounding. In the beginning you use a lot of your time and see little returns, but the more you stick with it, the less time you spend and the more returns you see.

Do you see now why I urge you to spend just a half hour of your time each and every day towards achieving one of your goals? Although I use finances as an example, you can turn the situations around to fit your personal goals because compounding works with everything.

If you have more than a half hour a day that’s great, but you should set a minimum goal of 30 minutes per day to spend achieving your goal. You’ll be amazed at how fast you can improve your life.

Your perfect life awaits,

Jeremy

Hill Sprints To Start Off Spring

Spring is finally here!

After months and months of cold weather, blizzards,  and almost getting in a head on collision due to the snow, the snow is finally gone!

I love this time of year. You wake up to a sun-filled room (if you sleep with your curtains open – which you should), hear the birds chirping, and the air is more crisp and fresh than during the winter months.

Do you know what the best part about spring is though? Being able to exercise outside and do hill sprints!

I just did my first hill sprinting workout of the year today, and I have to say it felt great. I decided to take my dog Rocky for a walk to loosen up my legs and get them ready. I also jogged slowly for a bit during the walk to further loosen them.

After the walk I grabbed a jug of water, carried it up to the road where there is a very steep, long hill, and had at it. It felt great to be outside.

After only about 7-8 minutes of exercising, I was done for the day. That’s about all it takes when you do high intensity training like I do. Talk about short and sweet. I was going to add more training into the day, such as boxing, but I wasn’t feeling right so I decided that was good enough for the day.

My muscles weren’t used to doing hill sprints so I had to cut it short. In the winter I’ve been doing stair sprints and stationary bicycle sprints, but it’s just not the same thing.

Granted, as the nice weather continues and I continue to hill sprint, I’ll get used to it and spend a little more time doing it, but it’s still always under 15 minutes or so for a full workout on my cardio days. Beats walking on a treadmill for an hour being bored out of your mind huh?

I’ll be talking in much more detail about the amazing benefit of doing hill sprints (or any type of high intensity training for that matter) so stay tuned.

Your perfect life awaits you,

Jeremy

Refuse To Be Average

All of our lives, we’ve been told that the best thing to do is be average. Who ever made up such a boring concept? Why would anybody want to do the exact same thing everybody else is doing? You get one life and you should make it count.

If everybody in the world adhered to these ideas, it would not be such a magnificent place to live. There would be no technology because we would still be living in a stone age type world. Each day would be exactly the same, and we probably wouldn’t even be on the top of the food chain.

In order to achieve success in your own personal life, you need to leave the idea of “average” behind you. You need to step up to the plate and step into a ball or 2 and take one for the team. This world thrives on those who are extraordinary and are willing to perhaps take a risk in order to increase the quality of their live and everyone’s life around them.

How often do you see an ordinary person who’s living the life of their dreams? Never. Do you know why? It’s because in order to get to that point, you need to become extraordinary. Look what happens when an average person wins a jackpot lottery. History has shown that almost every single person who ever won the lottery has had a “streak of bad luck”.

Well guess what, that’s not bad luck. It’s simply the fact that they haven’t expanded their minds to the point where they believe they are somebody special. They can’t handle the money because it doesn’t correlate with the mental image they have of themselves. Greed, ignorance, and self-indulgence set it in and they soon experience robberies, tragic events, and bankruptcy.

If someone that was already above average won the jackpot, I can guarantee you that the money would not be wasted and there wouldn’t be a streak of bad luck.

I absolutely refuse to be average and will do everything in my power to be as extraordinary as I can. I strive to be an extraordinary student, blogger and website owner, boyfriend, and many other things. I want to be above and beyond “average” in every single area of my life, and I work towards that goal everyday.

In my life, there is no “what if”. It’s simply, this is how it’s going to be and I will not stop until I hit my goal. I realized at a young age that I will only get this 1 life, so I better make it count. While my friends are out partying and drinking several nights a week, at least 90% of my spare time revolves around doing activities that will ultimately create a better life for myself and my future family.

Whenever I get off target, I simply remind myself that I’m not an average person, and will never let myself become average in any aspect of my life. Our society raises us to think that growing up and living the average life is the way to go. Well, that might be a great life for some people but that’s way too boring for me.

I want to experience pure bliss, abundance, a body that will keep me going for over 100 years, and such happiness from the work I do that it’s almost unimaginable to think about. Those types of things will never happen if I just go through the motions of life, get a steady job that I don’t care about, and don’t do anything extra.

What is your current outlook on life? Do you think of yourself as an average person? If you really want to create the perfect life for yourself, you need to start going above and beyond what a normal person would do. The first thing you should do is change your attitude and start thinking of yourself as a very rare person who’s about to become a success story.

Your perfect life awaits you,

Jeremy
